In the urban landscape of China, guard booths seem to be everywhere—they once stood prominently in residential communities, parking lots, parks, and various other settings. However, with the advancement of urban management and the adoption of smart technologies, these booths are no longer as essential as they used to be. Some are still in use, while others have been left abandoned, quietly standing in forgotten corners of the city. As a photographer, I began to take notice of this phenomenon. I see it as a reflection of changing times, carrying unique social memories and cultural significance.
